1. Are games refereed?
Matches held within the Advanced division will be refereed.
Matches held within the Intermediate and Casual skill levels will have a scorekeeper assigned to the match, who will NOT be refereeing the matches. Teams are expected to come to a mutual agreement regarding any differing opinions.
2. What is the skill level required to play in the League?
Capital League Volleyball is open to everyone, from new players giving volleyball a try to seasoned vets. There are 3 divisions that you can choose between when you sign up as a team based on your teams skill level which are Casual, Intermediate, and Advanced.
For those that sign up as individuals rather than with a team, the team with individuals will be either placed in the beginner, or intermediate division subject to the skill level of the majority of their members designated skill level.
3. What time will the matches be held?
Matches will be held every Sunday between July 7 and September 8. Each team will play one match each week for a total of 1 hour for each game, which will fall between 1PM - 5PM.
4. If I sign up as an individual can I sign up with a friend?
While the registration form does not allow users to provide names of other individuals they’d like to play with, players are encouraged to reach out to Capital League Volleyball via instagram or email with the name of individuals that would like to be on the same team, and we will try our best to accommodate the request.
5. When does sign up for the summer season end?
Registration for the summer season will be close July 3 at 11:55PM. Limited spots are available, so registration may close prior to the deadline.
6. Will there be a league season held after the summer season?
Yes! Planning for the Fall and Winter season are currently underway, stay tuned!
